The Berryhill brothers have been found guilty of money laundering
by the administrative law judge during the 2008 campaign cycle and will likely have to pay $40,000 in fines. This now goes to the FPPC committee before penalties are levied.
They had specifically requested a PUBLIC trial!
The Berryhill brothers trial was in November. The money, which the judge says was funneled through the Republican Central Committees in order to help fund Bill Berryhills campaign and paid for a last minute ad campaign. Tom Berryhill is currently Calaveras County's state Senator.
Ethics enforcers at the California Fair Political Practices Commission said that the brothers conspired with the Central Committees to illegally fund money to Bill Berryhills TV ad campaign.
Tom Berryhill is up for re-election this year.

They should be afforded the same treatment as those in the democrat party that have done the same thing or worse. There are a lot of new rules for convicted crooks in the legislature by the democrats. Of course, in California.
