UPDATE at 10:50 AM: CHP has alerted their ENTAC division to assist with this emergency.
UPDATE at 10:15 AM: It is expected that Hwy 12 between San Andreas and Valley Springs will be closed until at least 2:30 PM. CHP suggests using Hwy 49 to Hwy 26 as a way around this accident.
UPDATE at 10 AM: Hwy 12 will be closed in both directions when tow trucks arrive. CalTrans is on scene to assist with traffic. Stay clear of the area.
March 18, 2014 @ 8:30 AM: There has been a major accident on Hwy 12 in Double Springs between a school bus and a big rig truck. The school bus went over the bank and rolled down the hill.
We understand that no students were on board the bus. CHP and fire are on scene. The Hwy is partially closed and will have to be fully closed to recover the bus. An ambulance is on scene due to injuries.
