Lake Tulloch short term vacation rentals is back on the Calaveras Supervisors agenda for Tuesday March 11, 2014.
Also up for approval is a 25 MPH speed limit on Black Oak Drive in Arnold. Callaway's campaigning for votes in Arnold. They are also establishing speed limits on Mountain Ranch Road. It's about time!

The Lake Tulloch Rental ordinance is in full effect. Rentals should be preparing for the season with this ordinance being active. The board is approving the application fee which will be around $429.00. Yearly renewals around $217.00. Very reasonable as rentals have increased their prices this year to cover their expenses incurred by this ordinance.
There are homes currently advertising for renting this coming season. If a renter does not follow this ordinance, a homeowner can call anonymously to Code Compliance at 209-754-6326.
Last year we saw somewhat better cooperation from the rental owners, but still there were those renting recklessly without consideration to their full time resident neighbors.
Remember, all those within 1000' of the rental will be notified when a permit is filed. Personally, if I don't see a couple of these notices in the coming month or two, phone calls will be made and this ordinance will be enforced.
It's real simple folks. It's called being held responsible for your actions.

Well I heard that Callaway is insisting on making her district owners follow this too!! More money for the County to spend.
What brilliant ideas will the numbskull Spellman come up with this time--he can't stop trying to raise our property taxes. Does he pay his own or does his "mommy" pay his? Just asking.

You might find the county selectively enforces codes in this county. You might be one of the lucky ones. Where others in this county with public health, safety and general welfare of the citizenry issues are completely ignored, unless a lawsuit is filed.
