Pat Garrahan Endorsed by Deputy Sheriff's Association
The Calaveras County Deputy Sheriff's Association today announced their endorsement of Pat Garrahan in the race for County Sheriff.
Patt Garrahan, a Valley Springs resident, Marine Corps veteran and retired police lieutenant, is challenging incumbent Sheriff Gary Kuntz.
The Countywide election for Sheriff will be on the June 3, 2014 ballot.
"With over three decades in law enforcement, Pat Garrahan has the leadership experience necessary to deal with the issues facing our department and the needs of the community," said DSA President Brian Baker. "He understands the challenges ahead and brings a new perspective to the county."
The Calaveras County Deputy Sheriff's Association represents the 48 members of the Calaveras Sheriff's Office.
"It is critical that the deputies who risk their lives every day have faith in their leadership." Garrahan said. "I am honored to have the endorsement of the Deputy Sheriff's Association."

Now that's a great way to start the day. The winds of change are upon Calaveras County. We are sick of the corruption.
Heard the rumors for a week. Looks like we're gonna have a new Sheriff in town.
I'm not surprised. Once you meet Garrahan, its an easy decision. The deputies want someone they can respect and look up to.
Mr. Garrahan is an inclusive type of person. He will be an excellent Sheriff. He has quite a job in front of him.
The opening of the new jail, budget issues, the dispute between the Sheriff's department and the Superior Court.
The DSA endorsement is a critical point.
Good luck to you.
