So now what about Calaveras County's District 3?

After all the controversy stirred up last week, and the seeming loss of backing for one of the Supervisorial candidates in District 3, we have to wonder about the two remaining in contention.

Will the current Supervisor win yet another re-election so she can beat Tom Tryons' 28 years in office, or will firefighter Mike Borean come on strong to challenge the incumbent? It's your call, voters!.

I'm not going to talk about who is losing, I just want to say that after reading the loooong number of comments about candyrock, I have to commend Mike Borean for his courage and for his honor. I also shoot and would NEVER use that canyon. some crazies go there. it isn't safe and I don't believe in harassing innocent people around there.

You are one of the reasons it needs to close, awake now.

Mike Borean's got my vote! It's about time we had some sanity in government in District 3. To Mr. Oviera. Candyrock is not a business. It does nothing for Arnold's economy except the gun store.

I moved up here to get away from people like you, from rules and lawa and I just want to be left alone to shoot where and when I want. And I like to shoot at candyrock, whether you like it or not.

you moved up here to get away from the law? can't get along with regular folks? that figures. probably anarchist tea party type.

I agree it will be between Borean and Callaway and Callaway will probably get back in for four more years.

You think we're stupid, don't you. With Olivieras in, we will get to work moving all the anti-candyrock people out of the district. that is OUR shooting range, and Oliveiras plans to keep it that way.

D*** right i'm tea party patriot. and i'm ready when that you know what comes to my door to get my guns.

heard you were raggin on my buddies Kuntz and oliviera over here. better watch it if they get elected the rest of you are venison jerky

Oh, brother. If these are an example of Olivieras and Kuntz supporters, I'm for the new guy as Sheriff, what's his name, Pat something?

What's the worry, the county is broke and ignores laws unless they can charge an administrative fine of $10,000 dollars.
As voters should we be looking for a representative that stands for the county's responsibility, authority and enforcement capabilities the county is subject to. Got all that from watching the BOS meetings.
How do we go from paying taxes for services we don't receive to receiving services our taxes pay for?

So, it's Kuntz and olive or garret and borean? I'll take Garret for Sheriff. I don't really know Borean yet.

One thing I can tell you. I met the real resident deputy the other day. He's real nice. And his name is NOT Olieviera.

After Borean defended the residents I think he has a chance. No one else has ever stuck up for them. A shooter with honor? Wow!

You'd better ask Mr. Borean what does he mean by "promote smart growth" and "maintain the quality of life"? The two are opposites of each other.

I would be happy to discuss what I mean by "Promoting smart growth" and "Maintaining the quality of life". Please send me an e-mail to mikeborean@comcast.net and leave a phone number. I will call you back. You can also visit my Facebook page "Mike Borean for Calaveras County Supervisor, District 3". You can meet me in person on March 14th. I am holding a "Meet the Candidate" event at the Frog's Tooth tasting room in Murphys at 6:00-8:00pm.

Thanks
Mike Borean
