The Reverend Jesus Galindo Acedo "Jesse" of Angels Camp passed away peacefully from this life into his eternal reward on April 10, 2014 at approximately 9:25 PM, with loved ones at his side. He was 86.
Revered Acedo was born in Sonora, Mexico on March 5, 1928 to parents Fernando Acedo and Maria Galindo.
He graduated from Hemphill College in LOs Angeles, where he received his Master's Degree in Diesel Engineering.
He married Guadalupe Velarde "Lupita" on June 17, 1952. He was the proprietor of Acedo Shell Service in Fairfield, attended Bible College CBAN, where he received his degree in Bible Theology in San Jose and was Senior Pastor of Apostolic Community Church in Angels Camp.
His hobbies were going to church to pray, playing soccer and working on cars. He traveled as an Evangelist throughout the states and parts of Mexico, where he was mightily used in the spirit of healing.
In his later years he and his family started their restaurants, La Hacienda Mexican Restaurants which are still in business today.
He is survived by his wife Guadalupe V. Acedo, his 9 children, Elizabeth Nino, Tabitha Avila, Jesse Acedo, Maria Acedo, Raul Acedo, Sergio Acedo, Joshua Acedo, Rosa Patina and Myrna Montes.
He was Ta Ta to his 34 grand kids and 33 great-grand kids.
Memorial Services will be held on Thursday April 17, 2014 at 1 PM at Foothill Community Church, 1710 Whittle Raod in Angels Camp, CA 95222.
Interment will be at Altaville Protestant Cemetery in Altaville. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
