We have to heap some praise on ex-Angels Camp City Councilman Stuart
Raggio for coming forward to speak about bias at the City Administration.
At the last City Council meeting for the City of Angels, they swore in a new City Councilman to take Stuart Raggio's place, Scott Kelly.
But it was Stuart Raggio, rising to speak out of the audience that got the attention of many city residents.
Raggio called out the City for its obvious bias toward the goat lady who wants to be paid $20,000 for the honor of getting free grazing at the City's irrigated 200 acre pastureland.
After reading the packet, the Sentinel agrees with Raggio, who pointed out that putting cattle and goats in the pasture will bring in paid $4000 for the grazing rights per year.
Mayor Morse, the new City Councilman Kelly and Wes Kulm agreed with Raggio, that there should be more consideration for the cost and fairness towards cattle.
The issue was held over yet again for that reason. The goat lady was not happy. She stated that she wouldn't be keeping her goats if the city doesn't pay her. HUH?????

I hear he also turned in two city employees who were at a gun show while on duty. Good job, Stu!
Is that true? These guys do pretty much whatever they want cause no one in management cares what they do. It's only taxpayer money, after all, not theirs!
I couldn't be there, but I did watch the video where Stuart spoke. What I don't understand is why he said that as a city councilman he couldn't report bad employees?
The real problem is that not enough residents attend the meetings and many are afraid to speak out for fear of retaliation by the city.

We do need more people to watch what goes on at the city, no question.

I think the reason they aren't supposed to tell on employees if the are city council people is because theya ren't really there to represent the people, but to protect the city. sad lot, this is.
