On Saturday, May 24, 2014 during Memorial Day weekend, the Calaveras Big Trees State Park is holding a Grand Opening of its new visitor center.A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11 AM. There will be walking tours, children's activities and a wild animal presentation. A BBQ lunch will be available for purchase.
