UPDATE: This fire has been contained at 14 acres. Josh White, CalFire Unit Chief in San Andreas wants all of us to remember that the north winds are especially dangerous.This could be a very bad year for fires, so be extra vigilant. Don't use any machinery or open fire of any kind outdoors during this drought is our recommendation. It just isn't worth it.
May 28, 2014 at 1:30 PM: Cal Fire is currently at a Valley Springs location of a grass fire that has
now burned 5 acres.
We will try to get more information as it becomes available.
