On Tuesday May 20, 2014 the Tuolumne Narcotics Team and the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office followed up on an ongoing marijuana cultivation investigation.
They located a marijuana cultivation site near New Melones Reservoir with the help of the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office Boat Patrol accessed the site.
They located and destroyed 7,547 small marijuana plants. No suspects were located and the investigation is ongoing.
According to the press release, the Tuolumne Narcotics Team has now eradicated 44,084 marijuana plants this year.
This total is already double the amount located in 2013.
