Traffic Accident on Hwy 49

   On May 15, 2014 around 10:40 PM Kimberley D. Rainier (46) of Mountain Ranch was driving a 2001 Honda CRV while impaired, according to a CHP report, on Hwy 49 south of Union Mine Road.

   While driving impaired, per the report, she made an unsafe turning movement to the right (east).

   Due to her unsafe turn to the right she allowed the passenger side tires to enter the east shoulder of Hwy 49.
 
   Rainier then overcorrected to the left and allowed the Honda to cross over the northbound and southbound lanes.

  Consequently, the Honda rolled over in the west shoulder. After the collision the juvenile passenger was transported to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries.

    Rainier was arrested at the scene for alleged impaired driving, per CHP.
