According to CHP, on June 26, 2014 around 2:30 PM officers in Mi-Wuk Village responded to a report of a woman having allegedly been hit by a car in a campground.
The driver and the woman were arrested, after CHP determined that both were drunk and that the woman was not hit but rather fell trying to get into the car after she and the male driver were told to leave the Fraser Flat Campground.
CHP didn't know exactly why the Bay Area couple were asked to leave, but their inebriation played a role apparently.
The driver, Ashley Sanderson, (46) of Woodacre, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The woman, whose name was not available, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public.
She suffered cuts and bruises from her fall.
