Unlike their religion only counterparts at the Calaveras Board of Supervisors, the Calaveras County Water District voted to continue its opposition to the SB1199 (Mokelumne River Wild and Scenic designation) unless amended to allow CCWD access to the water in the future.
The Calaveras religion Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution in favor of SB1199 for political and religious reasons, without so much as a mention to their Joint Power Agreement partners in Amador or Calaveras counties.
They are too busy planning their next prayer service, which will not be held until the middle of July, as they needed another month off due to exhaustion.
