Motorcycle Accident in Jamestown causes Major Injuries

   According to CHP on June 5, 2014 around 4 PM Ronald Hessler (48) of Groveland was driving his Honda Motorcycle northbound on Hwy 49 north of 5th Avenue in Jamestown at approximately 40 MPH.

   Hessler was directly behind a Chevy pickup being driven by Jerry Hathcoat (25) or Sonora.

   Traffic slowed and came to a stop and Hessler was unable to stop his motorcycle before colliding with the back of the Chevy pickup.

   Hessler was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest in the northbound lane of Hwy 49. He was transported to Sonora Regional be ambulance for broken wrist and complaint of pain to hips.

   Drugs and alcohol were not a factor in this collision, per CHP.
