The Proposition to break up California into 6 states got enough signatures
to be on the ballot in 2016 thanks to a wealthy Silicon Valley man. There are good and bad parts to this initiative. The San Jose Mercury News printed this from the Census Bureau, so its pretty accurate.
While many have wished we could become two states, not many thought of this. One thing that would happen, is that Central California WATER (which would be our state) would become more valuable and states like Silicon Valley (in the Bay Area) would have to pay.

Maybe the broke county of calaveras could become the capitol of the state of Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne?
