CHP says "DUI checkpoints have been an essential part of the phenomenal reduction in DUI deaths since 2006 in California."Still one-third of traffic fatalities is attributed to DUI drivers. Therefore, they will continue to hold checkpoints.
On August 15, 2014 the Sonora area CHP will hold a Checkpoint for license and DUI in the Jamestown area of Tuolumne County between the hours of 7 PM and 2 AM.
