The CHP officer who has been widely seen on video allegedly savagely beating a black homeless woman after being laughed at by passing motorists, has been put on administrative leave (with pay) and has had his badge and gun removed from him.He still has not, however, been charged with any crime and until that happens, many will suspect law enforcement protects their own, no matter what they do. The woman's attorney has already filed a Federal Civil Rights violation lawsuit.
