August 1, 2014 at 8 AM: The French Fire in the Sierra National Forest has grown to 8,207 acres and is only 15% contained.As you can see from this map, it is burning close to the already burned area of the Aspen Fire from 2013. The primary protection is being given to the Hogue Ranch structures at this time.
