Loretta Ann Cross Swagger, of Ione, passed away at her daughters home in Campo Seco on July 29, 2014. She was 82.
A native of Superior, Wisconsin, she was born
on January 14, 1932.
She had been a seamstress for many years and a dietary consultant most recently. She enjoyed listening to teacher Joyce Meyers on TV, computer games, reading the bible, cooking shows and gardening; especially flowers in earlier years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Gipson of Campo Seco; son Gary Gipson of Yucaipa; grandchildren Robert Gipson of Santa Cruz, Marquita Gipson Pagaduan of Stockton, April Vogel of Tucson, Arizona, Natialie Swagger of Tucson, Arizona and Caleb Swagger of Minnesota; great-grandchildren Uriah and Josiah Gipson of Santa Cruz, DeAndre Egu and Isabella Pagaduan of Stockton, Jesse and Mikayla Vogel of Tucson, Arizona; and good friends Dee Santos and Nancy George.
She was very fond of all her caregivers at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital and Bristol Hospice for their loving care.
Services will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2014 at Glory Bound Fellowship at 3061 Hwy 12 in Burson, performed by Pastor Dennis Baskin. The time will be announced later.
