In District 1 of CCWD (Calaveras County Water District), Scott Ratterman is being challenged by Mike Dell'Orto of Mokelumne Hill in November 2014. Dell'Orto made an impassioned and historic speech
at the Wild and Scenic meeting last week.
In District 4, Russ Thomas of Copperopolis has filed to run against Dennis Mills of Vallecito. It's about time Copperopolis was properly represented.

In District 3, Bertha Underhill is challenging her one time friend and person she handpicked to succeed her when she quit, Don Stump. It isn't clear yet, why.
Also, Paul Stein is running to fill Bob Dean's seat in District 2, as Dean is retiring.

This will be the first time ever that CCWD elections are part of the County-wide elections. They usually have a private, special mailing election.
