According to CHP on august 26, 2014 Leroy Oster (72) of Valley Springs was driving a 2012 Ford loaded with developmentally disabled passengers, when he applied his brakes
and was struck from behind by Raina Autrey, (36) of Wallace at Hwy 12 and Hwy 26.
Per the report Autrey was following too closely in her 2013 Ford and was unable to stop. Maryann Roach (9) of Valley Springs, a passenger of Oster, was taken to Mark Twain Hospital for complaints of pain as a result of the collision.
