Walter L. Buchterkirchen passed away at his residence in Murphys on July 31, 2014. He was 79 years old.Born July 8, 1935 in Kansas City, Missouri, he was an Electrical Engineer in the Aerospace industry for over 30 years.
He was active in the Big Tree's Community.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Buchterkirchen, son Michael Buchterkirchen, daughters Susan Meredith and Mary Lesh, step-sister Ann and 7 grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
