September 15, 2014: The Courtney Fire near Bass Lake has caused 21 homes to be damaged or destroyed. This fire is 0% contained. Residents are trying to evacuate themselves and their animals.
CalFire spokesman Daniel Berlant was quoted as saying it is devastating to watch homes turned to ash. Nearly 400 acres have been burned.
