UPDATE at 3:45 PM: The roadway is now clear.
UPDATE at 3 PM: The dispatched tow truck got stuck in traffic on Mountain Ranch Road. CHP will have cleared as soon as possible.
September 15, 2014 at 2:25 PM: A traffic accident at Mountain Ranch Road and Michel Road has both lanes blocked.
Multiple other vehicles have also stopped to assist. CHP has requested help with traffic control from the Calaveras Sheriff's Office. It isn't yet known if there are injuries.
