Calaveras Grand Jury System Broken????

   For years, we have heard complaints about the Calaveras Grand Jury system being corrupt, political or biased for personal reasons.


   But never more have we heard complaints that this past year, 2014 that just ended.

  We have been told that any complaints about the Sheriff (Kuntz) were intentionally sandbagged because the foreman was a past (friend) of the Sheriff. 

    We, along with others, made complaints about false reporting by the deputies and backed up by the Sheriff , the Sheriff withholding evidence to protect a buddy, and many other horrid things.

   But the corruption continues. We hear even more now that he is secure in his reign for another 4 years at the expense of the public, especially women.

   The Grand Jury NEVER investigated any complaints about this Sheriff due to political associations and personal relationships with this Grand Jury.

   We have spoken with several people who made serious complaints and were ignored due to this broken Grand Jury.

   How can we trust a Grand Jury to investigate our government when the Grand Jury is corrupt within itself.  Until this is cleaned up, nothing will change.
