It was hard to believe! The Niners were up 17-0 in the first half and ended up losing to the Chicago Bears 28-20 in a heartbreaking 2nd half.
Interceptions and sacks were the main cause of the shocking turnaround at the 49ers first official regular season game at their new Santa Clara Stadium. Joe Montana was there, along with other retired Niners.
