Dear Sierra Sentinel:
I followed the Trinitas lawsuit for years after the Calaveras Supervisors voted against their building a golf course the first time.
To say that I was disappointed is not enough. All because a small group of "nut case" neighbors who didn't have enough money to buy that land themselves.
Our county of Calaveras Supervisors over the past, what is it now, 8 years, have spent over a million dollars fighting those poor people, just to make those neighbors happy.
The golf course, on the other hand, would have brought in money, lots of money, to the county.
When will this county elect people with half a brain in their heads, instead of these "turkeys", as you call them who don't have a clue about how to run the government?
Trinitas Golf Course could have changed that end of the county from a criminal infested hideout area into a destination for tourists. I think the neighbors should have to pay the $1 million back to the taxpayers!!
