Cal Fire gave an update on California Wildfires as of September 15, 2014 and it doesn't look pretty. As of this date there have been over 4800 fires to which Cal Fire has responded. This is 1000 more than average.Currently nearly 6000 firefighters are battling 11 major wildfires in the state. Hundreds were forced to evacuate this past weekend as wildfires threatened homes. A RED FLAT warning continues in the drought stricken areas of California.
