On October 1, 2014 a report was received by Calaveras Sheriff's deputies that first a campaign sign on Buckeye Lane in Mokelumne Hill, was drawn on with a marker and that the new one was removed by someone.
The Sheriff took no report on the incident. Just try finding someone in Calaveras County who will follow election law. Certainly not the elections office or the Sheriff.
