October 16, 2014: The Calaveras Sheriff's department has issued a new press release with information on the shooting reported yesterday on Hwy 12 in Burson.
After Sheriff detectives conducted multiple interviews regarding the shooting, the victim in the case has provided a new statement indicating that the shooting actually occurred on a gravel road accessed off of South Burson Road.
Detectives are now investigating this new information.
