Yes, it is 25 years ago today that the Loma Prieta earthquake struck the Bay Area. Whether you were in the Santa Cruz area or in San Francisco, it was a terrifying experience.
It struck not only during rush hour, but during the baseball game in the City. do you remember where you were or what you were doing?

Oh, yes!. We moved up here to the Sonora area the next year. I was at West Valley College in Saratoga. Everyone thought the ceilings were coming down. We huddled under tables for quite awhile.
I lived near Santa Cruz, but worked in San JOse. The ride home was terrifying and we found our home looking like it had been ransacked.
My husband and I were living in Santa Clara. We didn't have much damage, but it was scary, and we were used to earthquakes.
Two of my friends and I had just walked into a movie theatre. That was the end of that movie night.
