Charles L. Muth, Sr. of Murphys

    Charles L. "Chuck" Muth, Sr., resident of Murphys since 1985, went to be with the Lord in Elk Grove on November 13, 2014.

    Born October 19, 1920 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, his parents were Henry H. and Sadie Allwes Muth.


    He married Dora Eileen Riggleman in Kinston, North Carolina on August 4, 1942 during WWII while serving in the United States Marine Corps.

    He was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and Ophir Bear Mountain Masonic Lodge #33, both of Murphys, a member of Aahmes Shrine, life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Marine Corps League and a member of the Lions Club.

   Chuck and Dora moved to Murphys in 1985.

   Chuck is survived by his 5 children; Charles L. (Carole) Muth, Jr.; Doreen K. (Dan) Nishimi;
Charlotte M. (Michael) Machi; James R. (Kori) Muth; and David A (Debbie) Muth; also by his brothers Elmer and Henry and sisters Margaret and Corinne.

   He was preceded in death by his wife Dora and his sister Eva Mae Stoehrr.

   Services will be Saturday November 22, 2014 at 11 AM at Angels Memorial Chapel in Angels Camp. Inurnment will be at Buena Vista Cemetery in Murphys.

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital For Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd. in Sacramento, CA 95817.

   Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
