CHP's report on collision in Valley Springs

  According to CHP, on November 17, 2014 at around 8 AM, Marie Lester (23) of Valley Springs, was driving her 2014 Chevy Cruze at Pettinger Road
and Messing Road in Valley Springs.

   After stopping at the intersection Lester thought she saw a PG&E employee wave her on through the intersection, so she accelerated to cross.

   John Kanmore (22) of Valley Springs was driving a 1993 Honda Accord on Pettinger, when he saw that Lester was in the middle of the intersection of Pettinger and Messing.

   Kanmore attempted to stop, but was unable to do so, hitting the Chevy Cruze on the side, causing it to overturn onto its roof.

   Lester refused transport to the hospital due to her minor injuries.  Her passenger, Helen Hosford (73) of Valley Springs and the driver of the Honda were both transported to Mark Twain Hospital with minor injuries.
