After a few months of unusually high visibility by Mark Twain Hospital, including some very negative publicity due to its insistence on moving in to a residential area of Angels Camp, we believe
the
right people were elected to our County Hospital board.
Yes, Mark Twain is Calaveras County's hospital for the poor, and normally it is non-controversial in its elections. We all pay property taxes which go to this board so that the poor can get hospital care.
The three who won election are the most qualified and without any conflicts of interest. They are: Lin Reed, Peter Oliver and Ann Radford. Congratulations.
