On Meet the Press this morning, a passionate argument ensued between Rudy Giuliani, the ex-mayor of NYC and a black attorney during a discussion of the Ferguson problems.
When asked his opinion on why there are no black officers on Ferguson's Police Department, although 60% of the citizens are black, he gave a very strange answer.
He said "Why don't we talk about why so many blacks shoot and kill other blacks instead. More white cops are needed in areas where blacks are killing blacks!" Whoa!
Incensed, the black attorney on his left, said "When a black person kills a black person, they go to prison. When a white cop, who is sworn to uphold the law, shoots a black, they go free!" The 3rd person sat silently, seemingly shocked by Giuliani.
Moderator Chuck Todd tried several times to intervene and finally ended the discussion abruptly. I think everyone was surprised at the racist tone in Giuliani's comments.
