On Tuesday November 4, 2014 around 3:30 PM two men was noticed stealing a hot water heater from a Home Depot in Elk Grove.
After identifying the vehicle, the police gave chase down Hwy 99 and into Stockton, and so did CHP, Galt Police and Stockton PD. The man was finally caught in Stockton, with the "hot water tank".
One other man was caught running from the Home Depot, and the "hot water tank" caper was nixed.
