Angels Camp Police Press Release: Assault alleged

  According to Angels Camp Police, on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at approximately 2:30 PM, an officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of South Main Street in Angels Camp for a report of a male subject, later identified as 19 year old resident Riley Segale,
swinging an axe at two people.

   Segale was involved in an argument with one of the victims, per the report. Both victims got into a vehicle and began to leave.

   As they were in the vehicle, Segale exited the residence with an axe held over the top of his head as if he was going to swing it at them.

   He then swung the axe at the rear of the vehicle as the victims left the residence.

   Segale was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail for charges related to alleged assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.
