On December 1, 2014 at 1:50 PM, according to CHP Dale Henry Banks of Copperopolis was driving a 2014 Ford northbound on Obyrnes Ferry Road approaching Duchess Drive at approximately 30-35 MPH.
For unknown reasons Banks allowed the Ford to drift off of the roadway. The front of the Ford struck the embankment causing the Ford to roll over.
The Ford blocked the northbound lane for approximately 1 hour while the fire department conducted one-way traffic control.
Banks was the only occupant in the Ford. He sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Sonora Regional Medical Center by American Legion Ambulance personnel.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not considered a factor in this collision.
