UPDATE: The person killed in this crash was a 17-year-old Hughson resident, who drifted across the lanes into oncoming traffic. His passenger, also 17 was taken to a hospital, and is expected to survive.
December 22, 2014 at 6:30 AM: CHP and the coroner are at the scene of a 4:30 AM thead-on traffic collision that has Hwy 4 closed down in Brentwood. Avoid the area, if possible.
A pickup is hanging over the overpass and the pickup is mangled badly, trapping its driver, who has head injuries.
Unfortunately, the driver of one of the trucks was declared dead at the scene. It was apparently a head-on violent crash near Balfour. Hwy 4 is closed down due to this tragic crash.
