Herb Roesch - Teacher

  Irving Herb Roesch, age 84, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Mark Twain Hospital in San Andreas, following a brief illness.

     He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann;
his son Scott (Kristin) of San Diego, his daughter Lisa (Eric) of Denair and daughter Diana of Oakdale and eight grandchildren.

   Born May 26, 1930 and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Herb enlisted and served in the Air Force for four years till 1953.

   Upon leaving the service, Herb began his long love of education  Moving to the west coast, he obtained his bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees in education and officially became "Dr. Herbie" to all.

  He spent over 50 years teaching and enjoyed various schools throughout the country. He especially enjoyed volunteering in the recent years.

  Per Herb's wishes, there are no services planned.  If interested, please send memorial contributions to Mokelumne Hill Elementary School to continue Herb's commitment to kids and education.
