UPDATE: Now we learn that the stolen French wines were worth over $300,000. Most of the world-class wine that was stolen from the French Laundry was found in a private cellar in North Carolina.
One bottle of La Tache can sell for over $10,000. This is not California wine.
The French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley was broken into on Christmas Day, and the thieves knew what they wanted: FRENCH WINES!
They took bottles of Romanee Conti Grands Eschezaux, Richeborg, and La Tache. These people knew what they had and left the less valuable wines. The value is estimated over $50,000.
If anyone tries to sell you any of these in the near future, call the Napa County Sheriff's Department.
