UPDATE at 2:10 PM: The injured person has now been removed from the vehicle and is being flown to the hospital. They are now trying to clear the roadway
and allow traffic to flow through the area.
January 6, 2015 at 1:50 PM: An air ambulance is en route to a traffic collision where a Volkswagen rolled over and trapped one person inside at Hwy 49 and Dell'Orto Road in Mokelumne Hill. This is on the 13 curves.
Traffic on Hwy 49 is stopped for the air ambulance. Several attempts have been made to extricate the injured from the vehicle without success. Emergency personnel will take over the rescue. Avoid that area if possible.
