The Chair of the Calaveras Planning Commission, hand-picked by District 2 Steve Wilensky and
his co-hort Holly Mines, is Fawn McLaughlin, who is now Chair.
After a lengthy discussion on the problems with the Calaveras General Plan Update at their last meeting, and comments in favor of dismissing the Community Plans by other Commissioners, McLaughlin made the statement that "Community Plans should be kept in" despite the fact that they violate state law.
Shocking but true. Holly Mines, who spent several years writing her own version of community plans was in the audience. Politics as usual! Who cares about law!
