Phil sees shadow--6 more weeks of winter

This is a normal groundhog

This is Puxatawney Phil

   Today being Groundhog Day, they drug poor Puxatawney Phil out of his hole.(that is the new one--the old one died after being dropped last year).

   They say he saw his shadow and that means there will be 6 more weeks of winter.  This doesn't count in California however,
as winter has ceased to exist in January 2015.
