Robert "Bob" Arthur Fristensky of Hathaway Pines died suddenly on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He was 76.
Bob was born May 31, 1938 to Joseph and Mary in Queens, New York. He graduated with honors at St. John's University and spent time as a Seminarian with the Order of St. Augustinian Recollects.
He then met his future wife in the Seagram's Company bowling league, and he dedicated 48 years of his life to his beloved Kathy and their five children.
Mr. Fristensky was the Director of Security at American President Lines, a former Chairman of the Board of the National Cargo Security Council, an anti-terrorism expert and expert claims manager during his illustrious thirty year career in the shipping and transportation industry.
He was also an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Sierra Catholic Church in Arnold and earlier at St. Bonaventure's Catholic Community in Clayton.
Bob is survived by his daughter Kathryn Fristensky, sons George (Tina) Fristensky, Joseph (Carla) Fristensky, and Andrew Fristensky (Marea Ortiz) and four grandchildren, Mary, David, Sarah and Dylan.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Kathy, son Robert, Jr, sister Anna, brothers William and Charles and his parents.
A viewing will be held on Monday February 23, 2015 from 2 to 5 PM at Angels Memorial Chapel, with a Rosary beginning at 7 PM. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Sierra Catholic Church in Arnold.
