Alfred (Al) Ashley Nash of Angels Camp passed away on March 8, 2015. He was born June 15, 1933 in Merced.
Judge Judy lost a loyal fan today. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was drafted into the army in 1953 and served in Germany, where he met Hannelore Schmidt.
They were married on December 31, 1956 and settled in Angels Camp. He worked for Calaveras Cement in San Andreas and retired when the plant closed.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, having coffee with his long time friends, checking the mail and watching Judge Judy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lori, his four children, Cornelia Dias, Michael Dias, Nancy (Clyde) Nash and Monica (Doug) Tribble.
His grandchildren are Rayleane Dias, Michelle Dias, Adam (Olivia) Nash, Travis Nash, Madison and Christopher Tribble and great-grandchildren Kyle, Shelby and Alice.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred (Pearl) Dias and Hattie (Matt) Moorfoot, sister Wanda Jean Soria, brother Richard "Dickie" Dias and grandson Brennan Tribble.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and interment will be private.
