The owner of a liquor store in Milpitas is suing the winner of a $1 million lottery for half of the money, saying he loaned her the money to buy the tickets.
He has a written and signed note that if she won, he would get half. Her attorney says it was a gift that she has rescinded giving. Uh-oh! Now the money is being held separately until the suit is settled.
