The Calaveras County Water District sent out a Press Release stating that they have voted to forego the additional water and sewer rate increases planned in September of 2015. HUH???Since we were aware that Directors Strange and Mills had voted to lower rates by $5 immediately, we wondered how this compares. Are ratepayers happy that Underhill voted against an immediate rate decrease.
She had promised faithfully in her run for election that she was the ONE and not Don Stump, who
would immediately vote to LOWER rates. This does NOT lower rates!
Underhill never responded to our question put to her as to WHY she went back on her campaign promise. Doesn't this make her just like she was the last time she was on the board--a constant rate hiker.
We repeatedly attempt to get her to explain herself, but she is angry because the Sierra Sentinel owner liked the way Don Stump was handling the Director job.
