James "Butch" Joyner, 66, died unexpectedly Friday, April 17, 2015 at Modesto Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 15, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana, to John and Carolyn Joyner, who preceded him in death.
Butch served in the United States Air Force from February 23, 1968 until December 8, 1971 and was a member of VFW in San Andreas.
Butch will be remembers for his love of fishing and camping with family and friends. He was also an avid lover of sports which included the San Francisco Giants and his bowling league in Jackson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the San Andreas Town Hall on Saturday April 25, 2015 at 12 Noon. Butch is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years Stacy Collins Joyner and two sons, Matthew (Misty) Joyner of Ione and Mark (Sarah( Joyner of Valley Springs; two brothers Charles Joyner of Wilseyville, Gary (Nancy) Joyner of Ione and one sister Cheryl (Mike) Starr of Napa; three granddaughters Olivia Grave Joyner, Claira Marie Joyner and Nora Faye Joyner.
Butch is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
