Heavy Equipment Operator Training at CAL FIRE

   The CAL FIRE Academy at Ione, in coordination with the Tuolumne/Calaveras Unit, is conducting Heavy Fire Equipment Operator Training from April 20, 2015 through June 26, 2015.

   This training will take place west of Angels Camp, along the east side of Fowler Peak Lookout. CAL FIRE hired 30 new HFEO's this year and their training is ongoing.  In addition to this, the completed the 179 hour basic fire fighter training, a five-week fire fighter academy and a six week company officer academy.

   When complete, operators will be qualified to respond to emergency incidents (fires).
